The technological giant – Google has implemented a new tool with which it will be able to find the job offers that best suit its interests. Now depend less on job sites like dice.com, monster.com, indeed.com and others to find your dream job.
The Internet has become the main way to find employment. Through the network you can find a lot of offers that do not meet the conditions that everyone expects, which can be a stumbling block on the way to finding the job you dream of.
To this end, Google – the most widely used search engine in the world – has enabled a new tool that will facilitate the search experience according to your economic, geographic and particular interests.
The tool was enabled recently and from that point onwards when you search for “jobs near me” or specific queries like “teacher jobs” or similar job search queries, both on your Android-enabled mobile device and on the web, you will see detailed results that allow you to explore job offers across the web.
Another drawback for job seekers is that some unscrupulous people often take advantage of this need to scam some unwary people.
One way to prevent this kind of situation is that from now on you can also see employer comments and ratings from trusted sites, right next to the job description.
You can also find out how long it would take you to get to some workplaces. If you are logged in, Google Maps will show you the estimated time you can spend on different means of transport.
By enabling the “Location” filter you can set the distance you are willing to travel to your possible work, from 3 to 300 km or “anywhere”. This way you will only see the jobs within this distance range saving time.
Here are two examples when someone searches for “jobs near me” and “IT jobs” from San Francisco, USA
All of these search criteria can be saved and can be resumed at any time. You can also enable alerts and notifications when new offers appear that match your needs.
The tool that is one of the most widely used ways to find employment in the United States was enabled in Argentina, India, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico.
Hopefully this feature will be made available in other countries as well.
