1. 1. 1. Press Windows and R button together to open run window).
      2. The run window box type regedit and click OK  
      3.  Before making any changes to Registry, It is recommended to take a backup of current Registry on your computer with the help of  Export in the File menu.
      4. Look for   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control
      5.  For Window seven, you need to add a new folder here,  right click on the pane > new > key and name it StorageDevicePolicies.
      6. Click on  StorageDevicePolicies  then right click on the plane 
      7.  New > DWORD value called ‘WriteProtect‘ and set it to 1 to enable write to protect.
      8.  Restart the system for the changes to take place.
