MS Office suite is the undoubtedly the most widely used office productivity software suite by millions of people around the world. Especially the basic tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in the suite are used by millions of companies in their everyday work. Although these have been excellent solutions, some people usually have problems such as they do not like to install software on the PC, file getting corrupt, etc.

Alternatives to MS Word:

3) Foxit Reader: With focus on creating, converting, and editing the PDF, this software makes life easy. In addition, it is an excellent business tool and has excellent protection against vulnerabilities.
Substitutes to MS Excel:
Microsoft Excel brings two feelings to the users: love and hate. Despite of this, you cannot live without it – especially in the professional sphere. However those who are looking for the substitutes; here are the alternatives:
4) Google Sheets: It stays in the cloud and also offers the possibility of collaboration. Professionally, that’s great.
5) Calc: The LibreOffice Calc tool is an excellent substitute for calculation, analyzing and managing the data. It is a well developed tool and completely free. It can also perform mathematical calculations, create dynamic charts and many more.
6) ZohoSheet: Like the old Excel, this spreadsheet application is no secret: it’s the old formula that makes creation, sharing, collaborating, and publishing the spreadsheet from anywhere. Majority of the features in Excel are available in ZohoSheet such as tables, graphs, calculations and others.
Alternatives to PowerPoint
Each one us must’ve created or seen PowerPoint presentations atleast once. Whether it is at school, college, or even at work, during that cheery meeting, PowerPoint is an undoubted king. But those who want its substitute, here are the options:
7) Slides: Creating, editing and collaborating the presentation is made easy with this Google solution. And all your data is in the cloud, similar to other Google applications. The presentations created are also compatible with PowerPoint, so you can open them on any PC. One of the most exciting feature is exporting the Google presentation as a powerpoint (.ppt), PDF or Text file.
8) Prezi: Prezi is a very dynamic tool with interesting templates. The idea is to be different and offer the user a design that is not boring.
9) SlideRocket: After registration, you can use the online solution to create presentations and edit them. It works on both Windows and Mac, and converts the result to PDF if you wish.
Complete Office Package
So if you really want to replace Office Package, requiring no access or installing several different solutions, two packages: Googles Docs and LibreOffice are highly recommended. Both, as you can see above, already figure with their own applications. However, both are also complete and large competitors to Office. So make your choice and see if the options suits you. There are many other solutions available in the market but these two solutions will not annoy you.
