Chief Executive Officer of Apple, Inc. – Mr. Tim Cook was awarded honorary PhD in science by University of Glasgow.
On this occasion in a crowded auditorium he was asked to speak few words before the students of the university.
Cook spoke about Work and Money during his speech. And he began with “Do not work for money. Money runs out fast and you will never have enough to be happy”.
Balance between what you love and serve the community
If it is not money, what must be the driving force that drives us to work?
Cook advised attendees to seek balance and mentioned about ‘intersection’ – between what they are passionate about and at the same time serving the community. If you do not find that intersection, you will not be happy,” he concluded.
Mr. Cook was praised on the college’s website for his ability to create “innovative new products and services,” as well as highlighting his charitable donations, and his use of renewable energy to power offices, stores, and Apple data centers.
